Water of the Condor
Ichanka translates as "Water of the Condor" ("I" = water). The little hamlet of Ichanka, located on the Estate, was an important source of spring water to the indigenous Diaguitas. This secret water source was discovered courtesy of the Condors that would be seen hovering over the spring.
The Diaguitas believed the Condor was the closest creature to divinity and was considered a messenger of the spirits.

MALBEC
An intense dark red color offers aromas full of fruit with hints of mint and pepper, while flavors of ripened plum accompany this wine's characteristically smooth and sweet tannins. This unique and delightful Malbec is well-balanced across the palate with a long and persistent finish.

SYRAH
This wine has an intense red color with bright violet tones as well as a complex bouquet of fresh and sour cherry aromas. The fresh fruits of this well-balanced wine also come through on the palate and blend with proper acidity to ensure a long, persistent finish.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON
Intense and complex aromas have hints of cherry, blackberry and a touch of ripened pepper. A reddish-purple colour stands out in the glass. Full-bodied on the palate, with well integrated acidity and a nice tannic structure that provides a long and lasting finish.

TORRONTES
Bright green-hay colour showing subtle floral aromas of jasmine and honeysuckle balanced with live citrus. Dry and crisp on the palate with notes coming from it's muscat heritage enhancing its natural fruity flavours that linger on.

Our Vichigasta Vineyard wines are produced using only the best grapes from special plots within our vineyard.
The grapes are hand-picked and carefuly transported to the winery in small bins to avoid premature crushing.

MALBEC
Dark ruby red in color, this wine shows ripe fruit characteristics of plum, blackberry and mulberry with hints of mocha and vanillin oak. The palate is silky smooth with juicy berry fruit balanced with soft and rounded tannins for an elegant long finish.

BONARDA
The wine is a rich deep red in color, whilst the nose shows vibrant plum with flower nuances. There is an abundance of juicy fruit on the palate with perfectly integrated oak and fine tannins with each element impeccably balanced.

Bright dark red color with aromas full of red fruits with hints of violets and pepper. Flavors of ripened plum and cherry accompany this wine’s smooth and sweet rounded tannins. This unique and delightful blend of Malbec and Bonarda is well balanced across the palate with a long and persistent finish.

TORRONTES
Honeysuckle aromas jump out of the glass revealing an elegant pale yellow color with green hues. On the palate it’s clean with crisp acidity which enhances the citrus, fresh apple and pineapple flavours and uncovers an elegant lingering finish.

Ichanka Sañogasta is a limited production wine that combines the fruity characteristics of our wines with traditional oak treatment producing wines of great depth and balance.

Brilliant intense red colour with violet highlights. Aromas full of red fruits with hints of smoke reflect its ageing with oak. Complex on the palate, well structured and full bodied with a lengthy finish. Its rounded tannins show their presence and give it a unique character.

This wine has an intense black-red color with purple hues and aromas of ripe plums. A velvety sensation and subtle character in the palate lead to a great lingering finish. Complexity of aromas and taste define the typical features of this varietal.

An enchanting multi-layered wine. Aromas of black currant and dark cherries combine in perfect harmony with its lightly toasted flavours of cherry, mocha and a hint of herbs.

The Ichanka Oasis is a small lot production of the highest quality wine, produced only in the best vintages.
MALBEC | CABERNET SAUVIGNON Blend
A delicious nose of blackberries herb liqueur with subtle notes of violets and lavender.
Full-bodied with lots of red fruit supported by structured tannins and a well balanced oak backbone. Chewy on the finish.
